Job Summary

The Order Handling Specialist at ABB in Amman is responsible for delivering customer support including technical, order, and payment assistance to meet service quality and customer satisfaction targets. The role involves implementing customer support strategies to enhance operational excellence and supporting sales process goals.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate order processing with Sales, Product Marketing, Logistics, and other teams to ensure accurate and timely product delivery.
• Provide pre-sales and after-sales support by resolving customer issues and maintaining effective communication using commercial communication tools.
• Manage the entire sales order process from booking to payment receipt, ensuring timely delivery and cost control, including order booking in SAP and factor success.
• Maintain proactive communication with customers about order acknowledgments, delivery schedules, and freight forwarding arrangements.
• Handle all factory correspondence, verify packing lists and delivery details, and track goods receipts in SAP.
• Process warranty orders in SAP and BOL based on service team inputs, track factory dispatch, and manage returns of faulty materials.
• Assist the Business Controller with month-end closing activities and quarterly revenue forecasting.
• Support the sales team during urgent or emergency customer situations.

Requirements

• Fluency in English, both written and spoken, for factory correspondence and professional communication.
• Between 1 and 5 years of experience in Order Handling, Logistics, or Order Management within a local market.
• Strong skills in SAP/ERP systems and order processing tools; experience with Basware, BOL, OMS, CSCOT, or POL is a significant advantage.
• Good understanding of commercial terms, conditions, and INCOTERMS.
• Basic knowledge of Letters of Credit (LCs), Performance Bank Guarantees (PBG), Advance Bank Guarantees (ABG), and VAT regulations.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
