Job Summary

The Sustainability Engineer will lead sustainability initiatives in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, focusing on environmental and operational excellence. The role involves collaborating across departments to develop and implement sustainable practices aligned with corporate and regional goals.

Responsibilities

• Perform environmental impact assessments and sustainability audits for operations and facilities.
• Create and execute strategies to reduce carbon footprint, energy use, and waste.
• Analyze data to find opportunities for process and resource efficiency improvements.
• Manage sustainability projects such as renewable energy, waste management, and water conservation.
• Ensure adherence to environmental regulations and corporate sustainability policies.
• Prepare sustainability reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Work with cross-functional teams to embed sustainability in business operations and decisions.
• Research new sustainable technologies and best practices for potential adoption.

Requirements

• 10 years of experience in sustainability engineering, environmental engineering, or related fields.
• Strong understanding of environmental engineering principles, sustainability assessments, and regulatory compliance.
• Skilled in data analysis and interpreting environmental and sustainability metrics.
• Experience with sustainability reporting frameworks like GRI or SASB.
• Expertise in life cycle assessment and carbon footprint analysis.
• Knowledge of renewable energy systems, waste management, and circular economy concepts.
• Project management capabilities to lead cross-functional initiatives.
• Proficient technical writing and communication skills for diverse audiences.
• Familiarity with sustainability analysis tools such as energy modeling or GIS software.
• ISO 14001 certification or equivalent environmental management system knowledge preferred.
• Knowledge of green building standards like LEED or BREEAM is a plus.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Collaborative working style across departments.
• Familiarity with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 sustainability initiatives preferred.
