Senior Java Software Engineer

Job Summary

The Senior Java Software Engineer at Systems Arabia is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services and enterprise applications using Java technologies, Quarkus, and microservices. The role involves cloud-native development, platform integration, quality engineering, and automated delivery across multiple environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services and enterprise applications with Java and Quarkus.
• Create and manage microservices featuring REST APIs and reusable components.
• Develop frontend applications using Angular 22+.
• Implement authentication, authorization, input validation, logging, exception handling, and error management.
• Design and integrate SQL-based data solutions for application needs.
• Integrate applications with Kafka for event-driven and asynchronous processing.
• Use OpenShift and Istio for containerized deployment and service mesh support.
• Write unit and integration tests, participate in code reviews, refactoring, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Strong experience in Java and backend development.
• Proficient with Quarkus framework and microservices architecture.
• Experienced in frontend development using Angular 22+.
• Good understanding of RESTful APIs and service-to-service communication.
• Knowledge of Core Java, OOP, collections, exception handling, generics, and multithreading.
• Experience with SQL databases including design and performance optimization.
• Hands-on with Apache Kafka and event-driven architecture.
• Experience with OpenShift and Kubernetes container platforms.
• Understanding of Istio service mesh concepts.
• Experience with Tekton for CI/CD automation.
• Familiarity with ArgoCD and GitOps continuous delivery.
• Knowledge of automated testing, unit and integration testing.
• Proficient in Git and version control practices.
• Exposure to DevOps, cloud-native architectures, and automated deployment.
