Job Summary

The Healthcare Costing Director will lead healthcare costing and financial analysis projects in Riyadh, focusing on activity-based costing, DRGs, patient and procedure-level costing, revenue cycle management, and service-line profitability.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of activity-based costing (ABC) models in healthcare settings.
• Utilize DRG methodologies to support hospital costing, pricing, reimbursement, and financial analysis.
• Evaluate patient- and procedure-level costs, including allocation of direct and indirect costs.
• Analyze profitability of service lines and procedures to identify cost efficiency opportunities.
• Support revenue cycle management processes such as coding, billing, claims, and reimbursement.
• Collaborate with clinical, finance, and technology teams to define and validate costing data requirements.
• Convert complex costing and financial data into actionable insights for management decisions.
• Provide senior guidance on healthcare costing methods, financial performance, and cost optimization.

Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in healthcare finance, costing, or financial performance, preferably in hospitals or healthcare providers.
• Proven experience developing or implementing activity-based costing (ABC) models.
• Strong knowledge of DRG methodologies applied to hospital costing, pricing, and reimbursement.
• Experience with revenue cycle management including coding, billing, claims, and reimbursement.
• Practical experience analyzing patient- and procedure-level costs with allocation of direct and indirect costs.
• Experience evaluating service-line or procedure-level profitability and identifying cost efficiency improvements.
• Ability to work effectively across clinical, finance, and technology teams to define costing data needs and translate insights into improvements.
• Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and communication skills suitable for a Director role.
