Job Summary

This role involves delivering technical training and advisory services on the Cloudera Data Platform to enhance the client’s data engineering and platform teams’ skills in operating, securing, and optimizing their on-premises Cloudera/DAMP environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct both classroom and virtual Cloudera technical training sessions including hands-on labs.
• Customize training content and exercises to align with the client’s specific CDP/DAMP setup.
• Lead technical workshops, perform knowledge assessments, and provide follow-up coaching.
• Teach key technologies such as Cloudera CDP, DataFlow/NiFi, Kafka, Flink, Spark, CDE, CDW, Iceberg, Ozone, security, governance, and Cloudera AI.
• Set up and maintain training and lab environments, including those with restricted or air-gapped networks.
• Offer post-training advisory support and office hours focused on configuration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
• Monitor learner progress, manage training credits, and prepare candidates for Cloudera certifications.
• Report regularly on progress and skills gaps to the delivery manager and client.

Must haves

• More than 5 years of hands-on experience with Cloudera/Hadoop in production.
• Strong expertise in Spark, NiFi, Kafka, Hive/Impala, and HDFS/Ozone.
• Experience in administering and troubleshooting on-premises Cloudera environments.
• Understanding of platform security aspects including authentication, authorization, encryption, auditing, and governance.
• Proven ability to deliver technical training, workshops, and hands-on labs.
• Strong English communication skills; Arabic is highly desirable for Saudi Arabia delivery.

Nice to haves

• Current Cloudera certification.
• Cloudera instructor accreditation or experience with an authorized training partner.
• Experience in sectors like government, defense, banking, aviation, or other critical environments.
• Familiarity with restricted or air-gapped networks and knowledge of MLOps, Generative AI, and Cloudera AI.
• Experience creating technical labs and training materials.
