Job Summary

The Technical Sales Engineer – Steel & Solar Mounting Systems at Philadelphia Solar LLC is responsible for driving sales growth of steel products and solar mounting structures in both local and international markets by combining technical expertise with business development activities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage sales opportunities for steel and solar mounting products across various markets.
• Identify and cultivate new customers, distributors, and business opportunities.
• Prepare technical and commercial proposals and quotations tailored to customer needs.
• Review project documentation such as drawings, specifications, BOQs, and tenders to ensure accurate and competitive pricing.
• Coordinate with internal teams including Design, Engineering, Production, Procurement, Finance, and Logistics to facilitate project execution.
• Provide technical support related to steel structures, materials, coatings, and installation requirements.
• Engage in customer meetings, technical discussions, presentations, and commercial negotiations.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, steel prices, and customer demands to inform sales strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 5–8 years of experience in technical sales, steel structures, solar mounting systems, or related fields.
• Strong knowledge of steel profiles, ZAM/Magnelis, HDG/GI, structural steel, and solar mounting systems.
• Good understanding of structural drawings, BOQs, technical specifications, and engineering requirements.
• Proficient in preparing accurate technical and commercial quotations.
• Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and customer relationship skills.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and engineering/design software.
• Excellent written and spoken English skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to travel for meetings, site visits, exhibitions, and business development activities.
