Job Summary

The Senior High Voltage Engineer will lead the technical design and delivery of high-voltage power systems for energy and infrastructure projects in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role involves overseeing substations, protection schemes, and coordination with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and execution of HV and EHV substations, including AIS and GIS technologies.
• Develop and review substation layouts, single-line diagrams, protection schemes, and technical specifications.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, utilities, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Conduct protection studies, select equipment, and perform design reviews.
• Support procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, and technical assurance processes.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers and designers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or related field.
• 8-12 years of experience in high-voltage power engineering.
• Expertise in AIS/GIS substations and protection design.
• Familiarity with IEC, IEEE, utility standards, and grid code requirements.
• Experience in transmission, distribution, renewable energy, or major infrastructure projects.
• Strong technical leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with projects in the Middle East or Saudi Arabia is highly desirable.
