Job Summary

The Quality Assurance Engineer ensures the quality and reliability of software, systems, or products by identifying defects and collaborating with development teams. The role involves developing and executing test plans and analyzing results to meet quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute manual test cases for web, mobile, and API applications.
• Work with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and define testing strategies.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, performance, and usability testing.
• Create and maintain test plans, cases, and scripts to cover all scenarios.
• Identify, document, and track defects using tools like Jira or Click up, ensuring timely resolution.
• Conduct API testing with Postman, SoapUI, or RestAssured.
• Support development and maintenance of automation frameworks using Selenium, Cypress, or Appium.
• Monitor and report test results to improve product quality and development processes.

Must haves

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance.
• Strong manual testing experience for web applications and APIs.
• Knowledge of test cases, regression testing, smoke testing, and defect reporting.
• Experience with Jira or similar bug tracking tools.
• Basic understanding of API testing using Postman.

Nice to haves

• Experience with automation testing tools such as Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
• Basic Git knowledge.
• Exposure to CI/CD and AI-assisted testing tools.
