Job Summary

The Principal Backend Engineer will lead backend development efforts, owning technical projects from analysis to production deployment independently.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable backend services.
• Conduct technical analysis and design solutions.
• Manage features end-to-end from development to production support.
• Integrate and maintain third-party systems.
• Perform code reviews and uphold engineering quality.
• Investigate and resolve production issues with root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, and engineering teams.
• Monitor and improve application performance, reliability, and scalability.

Requirements

• More than 6 years of experience with Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Kafka, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, AWS, REST and SOAP APIs.
• Experience in production monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Codex, Claude Code, or similar.
• Ability to use AI tools effectively for coding, analysis, debugging, testing, and enhancing productivity.
• Strong problem-solving skills and high ownership.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining high engineering standards.
