Job Summary

This role supports the Digital & Strategy team on a 3-month contract to drive digital transformation and business strategy initiatives in digital payments. The consultant applies structured problem-solving and financial services expertise to enhance customer journeys and digital experiences.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Digital & Strategy team in executing digital transformation and business strategy projects.
• Analyze business challenges, customer needs, market trends, and strategic opportunities systematically.
• Evaluate and redesign customer journeys for relevant products, services, and digital channels.
• Identify customer pain points and improvement areas to contribute to experience design initiatives.
• Formulate strategic recommendations based on quantitative and qualitative data.
• Develop Excel models, analyses, and trackers to aid decision-making and project progress.
• Prepare executive-level presentations summarizing findings, options, and implementation priorities.
• Collaborate with business, product, digital, and operations stakeholders to gather input and validate recommendations.

Must haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• 5-8 years of professional experience including with a Big 4 or Tier 2 consulting firm.
• Experience delivering digital transformation and business strategy engagements.
• Strong knowledge of customer journeys, digital channels, and experience design.
• Previous experience in financial services, especially SME banking, retail banking, or digital banking.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for analysis and modeling.
• Excellent English communication skills; Arabic preferred.
• Experience in Banking, Digital Payment & Card solutions, or FinTech industry.
• Regional experience working in a fast-paced matrix organization.

Nice to haves

• Ability to analyze data, troubleshoot payment issues, optimize processes, and make data-driven decisions.
• Understanding of payment systems, digital platforms, system workflows, security basics, and industry technologies.
• Knowledge of regional regulations in financial services or payment networks.
