SVP – Ratings & Research Franchise Lead

Job Summary

This role leads Moody’s Ratings & Research analytical franchise in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf Cooperation Council, enhancing market presence and delivering credit insights. The position involves senior stakeholder engagement, strategic development, and advancing AI use in credit research.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior analytical representative for Ratings & Research in Saudi Arabia, engaging on credit and rating matters with authority.
• Drive strategic positioning and market visibility of Moody’s Ratings’ analytical franchise in Saudi Arabia.
• Build and maintain senior relationships with key stakeholders across public and private sectors in the region.
• Collaborate with rating group leads to ensure consistency with Moody’s credit standards and methodologies.
• Participate in rating committees and issuer meetings, providing regional insights within governance frameworks.
• Identify and develop cross-sector analytical themes relevant to Saudi Arabia and the Gulf Cooperation Council.
• Lead the research agenda on regional credit topics, authoring or commissioning impactful thematic research.
• Coordinate with teams in Dubai and Saudi Arabia on regional initiatives and stakeholder outreach.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in credit analysis, ratings, or related analytical functions with strong knowledge of rating methodologies and governance.
• Recognized analytical credibility to engage confidently with senior internal and external stakeholders on complex credit topics.
• Strong understanding of Saudi Arabia, Gulf Cooperation Council, and emerging market credit dynamics including economic and policy trends.
• Ability to think across sectors and translate regional developments into analytical insights.
• Proven leadership through influence in a complex, matrixed organization without direct authority.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including contributing to thematic and analytical research.
• Fluency in Arabic to support senior stakeholder engagement and represent Moody’s Ratings locally.
• Working knowledge of artificial intelligence concepts with enthusiasm for learning AI applications in credit research.
• Interest in responsible AI practices including risk management and ethical use.
• Advanced academic background in Finance, Economics, or related field; advanced degree and/or CFA preferred.
