Job Summary

The Software Technical, Senior Engineer at ADREE leads software development efforts by providing technical leadership, mentoring, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and reliable software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead software development projects ensuring alignment with business and technical needs.
• Convert business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Design and contribute to system architecture including microservices, distributed systems, and APIs.
• Make decisions on application design, development, performance, and scalability.
• Write and maintain high-quality production software while staying hands-on with coding.
• Perform code reviews and enforce engineering standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and stakeholders to define technical solutions and delivery plans.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and support their professional growth.

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of professional software development experience.
• 2-3 years in a technical leadership, senior engineer, or team lead role.
• Proven experience delivering production systems at scale.
• Experience mentoring or managing engineering teams of 3-8 members.
• Strong proficiency in at least one primary programming language such as Java, Python, Go, JavaScript/TypeScript, or C#.
• Deep knowledge of system design and architecture including microservices, distributed systems, and APIs.
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Solid understanding of databases (SQL and NoSQL), caching, and data modeling.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation is a plus.
• Strong grasp of security best practices and performance optimization.
• Experience with Git version control and code review processes.
• Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and conduct code reviews.
• Strong communication skills for working with product managers, designers, and stakeholders.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and conflict resolution.
• Ability to balance hands-on coding with leadership duties.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience in technical roadmap planning, estimation, and architectural decision-making.
• Experience with incident management and on-call rotations.
