Job Summary

The Lead Procurement Engineer manages the procurement of technical goods and services for operations, evaluates suppliers, negotiates purchase agreements, and ensures timely delivery of purchased items.

Responsibilities

• Develop procurement strategies to meet organizational goals such as cost reduction, quality enhancement, and supplier diversification.
• Lead and mentor procurement teams to effectively carry out procurement tasks.
• Work with project managers, engineers, and department heads to determine procurement needs and create procurement plans.
• Identify and select suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery schedules, and technical capabilities.
• Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers to secure favorable terms and cost savings.
• Monitor supplier performance through regular assessments and audits to ensure contract and quality compliance.
• Address and resolve supplier-related issues including quality problems and delivery delays to reduce risks and keep projects on schedule.
• Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers to support long-term collaboration.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• Experience with Combined Cycle powerplants
• At least 10 years of experience
