Job Summary

The Senior Manager, Mobile Engineering at Majid Al Futtaim leads the development and scaling of mobile platforms to support 30 million members across MENA by 2027, focusing on technical leadership, architecture, and team management.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical programs end-to-end, managing scope, risks, resources, budgets, timelines, and delivery.
• Own and develop mobile architecture across iOS, Android, Flutter, and Kotlin Multiplatform.
• Promote and implement Kotlin Multiplatform for shared business logic, networking, and UI components.
• Build and oversee reusable mobile components, design tokens, theming, and shared platform features.
• Define Mini App architecture and integration standards, enhancing testing, CI/CD, engineering standards, and developer experience.
• Lead, mentor, and manage engineering teams, including performance, training, hiring, and talent development.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, DevOps, Security, QA, and business teams using agile methods and governance.
• Drive business impact through faster releases, adoption of KMP/design system, crash-free performance, customer growth, retention, revenue, and team performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Over 10 years of senior mobile engineering experience, including 5+ years in leadership roles with complex consumer digital products delivery.
• Expertise in iOS development (Swift, SwiftUI/UIKit) and integration of KMP XCFrameworks.
• Strong knowledge of Android/Kotlin, Kotlin Multiplatform, and Flutter.
• Experience designing reusable mobile platforms, SDKs, shared components, modular architectures, and large-scale consumer apps.
• Proficiency in Agile, CI/CD, TDD, BDD, technical decision-making, and maintaining hands-on technical involvement.
• Strong leadership, coaching, mentoring, and stakeholder management skills to align cross-functional teams and build high-performing teams.
• Customer-focused, strategic, innovative mindset with fluency in English and Arabic.
