Senior AI Architect

Job Summary

The Senior AI Architect leads the technical strategy for Arab Bank’s AI projects, ensuring solutions are secure, compliant, and production-ready. This role advises multiple stakeholders on AI matters and designs comprehensive AI systems.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements and AI use cases to identify gaps, risks, and dependencies.
• Recommend suitable AI approaches such as Generative AI, Machine Learning, or rules-based automation.
• Design end-to-end AI architectures including LLM applications, RAG, AI agents, and predictive models.
• Define AI platform standards, select models and platforms considering accuracy, cost, and security.
• Ensure AI solutions comply with regulations and internal policies, collaborating with Risk, Compliance, and Legal teams.
• Lead technical teams through development phases, ensuring security, scalability, and performance.
• Establish MLOps/LLMOps practices including deployment pipelines and model monitoring.
• Contribute to AI strategy, monitor emerging technologies, and mentor team members.

Must haves

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or related field.
• 10+ years in software or solution architecture with at least 4 years delivering AI/ML solutions in production.
• Hands-on experience with Generative AI technologies like LLMs, RAG, vector databases, and AI agents.
• Strong knowledge of Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing.
• Experience with major cloud AI platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and on-premises/open-source models.
• Understanding of enterprise architecture, APIs, microservices, Kubernetes, and security architecture.
• Experience in regulated industries, preferably banking or financial services.

Nice to haves

• Experience with banking use cases such as KYC/AML, fraud detection, credit scoring, customer service automation, and document processing.
• Knowledge of model risk management and AI governance frameworks.
• Experience in Arabic NLP and bilingual (Arabic/English) AI solutions.
