Backend Developer (Python)

Job Summary

The Backend Developer (Python) will work with a financial services company to develop software solutions, ensuring quality and security standards are met. The role involves collaboration with team members and stakeholders to create new features and products.

Responsibilities

• Work with team members and stakeholders to develop features and new products.
• Create solutions based on business requirements.
• Write technical specifications including technology choices and workflows following coding standards.
• Present implementations to team leaders, heads, or CTO.
• Develop Unit and Integration Tests.
• Ensure software quality, security, modifiability, and extensibility.
• Participate in code reviews to identify anti-patterns and refactoring opportunities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by superiors.

Requirements

• BSc in Computer Science or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in software development and Python coding.
• Knowledge of software and application design and architecture.
• Technical mindset with attention to detail.
• Understanding of software quality assurance principles.
• Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes.
• Experience with service-oriented architecture (SOA).
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Some experience with RabbitMQ, Kafka, or similar.
• Experience in developing microservices and managing containerized applications.
• Some experience building websockets.
• Some experience with Kubernetes and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Helm).
• Proficiency in version control and continuous integration tools such as Git and Jenkins.
• Understanding of web security standards and best practices.
• PHP knowledge considered an advantage.
