Premier Resident Engineer (PRE)-Riyadh Area

Job Summary

The Premier Resident Engineer (PRE) at Extreme Networks provides advanced post-sale technical support and consultation for designated customers, focusing on wireless, edge, campus, and cloud networking products.

Responsibilities

• Deliver technical support and guidance to Premier customers, emphasizing Extreme Cloud IQ and related product portfolios.
• Handle case management, first-line troubleshooting, and escalate issues to Extreme GTAC for resolution.
• Assist third-party maintainers with hardware replacements when necessary.
• Manage network troubleshooting and problem resolution on Extreme equipment.
• Develop and execute problem resolution plans, communicating outcomes to stakeholders.
• Maintain and optimize client Extreme environments through proactive planning and tuning.
• Participate in weekly support meetings and provide regular status updates on projects and support tasks.
• Configure and advise on ExtremeCloud IQ direction and utilize diagnostic tools and lab equipment as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, Master’s in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• 8-10 years of technical support experience including troubleshooting from layer 1 to layer 7, signaling, data analytics, switching, and routing.
• Strong preference for experience with Cloud, Ethernet Fabrics, and Network Management.
• Business-level communication skills in English; Arabic is preferred.
• Extreme certification(s) to be obtained within one year of employment.
• CCNA and CCNP certifications required; CCIE is a plus.
• Extensive knowledge of IP networking fundamentals, network architectures, and major internet routing protocols.
• Experience with Extreme Fabric Connect (SPBm), Fabric Engine (VOSS), ExtremeCloud IQ Site Engine, ExtremeControl, ExtremeAnalytics, Extreme Wireless, and Extreme Networks wired portfolio including Switch Engine (ExOS) and Extreme Platform ONE.
• Strong interpersonal skills and customer-focused attitude with ability to manage politically sensitive situations and work across cultures.

What the company offers

• Salary range between 290,000 and 320,000 SAR.
• Work schedule Sunday to Thursday, 8am to 5pm local time, with flexibility for last-minute and planned travel including after-hours and weekends.
• Limited travel expected, less than 20%, primarily onsite with customers.
