Job Summary

Lead traffic engineering and management for a major transport infrastructure project in Riyadh. Oversee all traffic control, management plans, and coordination across construction and operational phases, ensuring compliance with local standards and international best practices.

Responsibilities

• Review, approve, and supervise temporary and permanent traffic management plans and detour strategies
• Ensure traffic management designs comply with local standards, project requirements, and international best practices
• Coordinate with municipal authorities, contractors, and traffic enforcement on implementation of traffic diversions and staging
• Monitor and supervise on-site traffic control measures to ensure safety and minimal disruption to road users
• Identify and mitigate traffic-related risks and support interface coordination across multiple contractors and project zones
• Provide strategic guidance on traffic flow optimization, congestion reduction, and public access during construction
• Lead development of incident response plans and maintain emergency access routes
• Mentor junior staff and prepare technical reports and briefings for stakeholders

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Traffic Engineering, or related discipline; Master’s degree preferred
• Minimum 15 years of experience in traffic engineering, with at least 5 years in a senior or SME-level role
• Proven experience on large-scale infrastructure or transport projects in Saudi Arabia or the GCC
• Strong knowledge of KSA regulatory frameworks including MOT, Riyadh Municipality, and Royal Commission standards
• Expertise in temporary traffic management, construction staging, and traffic impact mitigation
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Synchro, SIDRA, VISSIM, or similar software tools
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic is a plus but not mandatory
• Experience coordinating with public sector authorities, contractors, and multidisciplinary supervision teams
