Senior MinePlan Engineer

Job Summary

Hexagon Autonomous Solutions seeks a Senior MinePlan Engineer to ensure effective operation of Hexagon Mining’s mine planning software and systems at customer sites. The role involves providing high-level technical support, troubleshooting complex issues, and optimizing mine planning solutions to enhance safety, productivity, and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert troubleshooting and deliver timely, accurate solutions for MineSight software to clients worldwide
• Adhere to support schedules and ensure clients receive prompt responses and support
• Collaborate with technical support team members and serve as primary customer contact for support and enhancements
• Take ownership of customer issues and see them through to resolution or escalation
• Participate in on-call after-hours support activities
• Follow and recommend improvements to technical support team processes to increase efficiency
• Provide technical leadership, cross-skill team members, and create FAQ documentation and self-service videos
• Document software issues and enhancement requests for the Product Development team and maintain case documentation standards

Requirements

• Experience with MineSight software package and solid working knowledge
• Experience in a technical support environment
• Excellent computer operational and software application knowledge
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Office Suite
• Experience managing ticket queues and reporting in ticket management systems
• Experience with bug tracking tools such as JIRA
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Database and Python Programming Language
• Excellent verbal and written English communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience working in a mine (preferred)
• Bachelor’s in mining engineering or Geology (preferred)
