ZAIN2550 – IT System Administrator Intern

Job Summary

This internship role at Zain Jordan involves supporting the Technology & Digital Innovation Department by assisting in IT infrastructure management and related technical tasks over a one-year contract.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing and monitoring IT infrastructure including servers, networks, and endpoints.
• Support the setup, configuration, and maintenance of operating systems and enterprise applications.
• Help implement Infrastructure as Code and configuration management using Ansible for provisioning VMs, networks, and cloud resources in on-premises and Azure/M365 environments.
• Support containerization and orchestration activities such as deploying workloads to Kubernetes and container platforms and troubleshooting services.
• Document IT procedures, assets, and incident reports to update the knowledge base.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Cyber Security, Management Information System, or related fields.
• Basic knowledge of Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
• Familiarity with networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
• Understanding of Active Directory and user account management.
• Foundational understanding of containers, CI/CD concepts, and basic exposure to Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of virtualization tools such as VMware or Hyper-V is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced IT environment.
• Time management skills and ability to multitask.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
