Job Summary
The Specialist – QA Backend Engineer at Almosafer is responsible for developing and maintaining automated backend and API tests, ensuring software quality within an Agile SCRUM environment.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain automated test scenarios for backend and API testing.
- Participate in sprint planning and review requirements to guarantee test coverage.
- Develop detailed and structured test plans and test cases.
- Convert manual regression scenarios into automated tests.
- Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities throughout the SDLC.
- Ensure automated tests are integrated and reliably executed in CI/CD pipelines.
- Work collaboratively within an Agile SCRUM team delivering software in two-week sprints.
- Identify, troubleshoot, document issues, and perform functional and non-functional testing to support development.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in Software Testing.
- Strong proficiency in Java.
- Experience with REST Assured framework for API automation testing.
- Experience using Postman for API testing.
- Hands-on experience with Git command line.
- Strong knowledge of Software QA methodologies, testing types, tools, and processes.
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with project tracking tools.
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Nice to haves
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools.
- Experience in Travel and Tourism industry.
