Job Summary

The Specialist – QA Backend Engineer at Almosafer is responsible for developing and maintaining automated backend and API tests, ensuring software quality within an Agile SCRUM environment.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain automated test scenarios for backend and API testing.
• Participate in sprint planning and review requirements to guarantee test coverage.
• Develop detailed and structured test plans and test cases.
• Convert manual regression scenarios into automated tests.
• Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities throughout the SDLC.
• Ensure automated tests are integrated and reliably executed in CI/CD pipelines.
• Work collaboratively within an Agile SCRUM team delivering software in two-week sprints.
• Identify, troubleshoot, document issues, and perform functional and non-functional testing to support development.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in Software Testing.
• Strong proficiency in Java.
• Experience with REST Assured framework for API automation testing.
• Experience using Postman for API testing.
• Hands-on experience with Git command line.
• Strong knowledge of Software QA methodologies, testing types, tools, and processes.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with project tracking tools.
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Nice to haves

• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools.
• Experience in Travel and Tourism industry.
