Software Engineering Senior Expert

Job Summary

This role involves defining and maintaining software architecture standards, leading technical teams, managing system integrations, overseeing vendor relations, and ensuring successful software releases aligned with organizational goals.

Responsibilities

• Define and uphold software architecture principles, standards, and guidelines.
• Lead technical design reviews and provide guidance to engineering teams.
• Design and manage integrations between internal and external systems, ensuring security and scalability.
• Oversee vendor technical proposals, performance, and compliance with standards.
• Coordinate release planning and delivery with cross-functional teams, ensuring readiness and quality.
• Establish and enforce technical governance, including documentation and compliance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions and roadmaps.
• Mentor engineers and support continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, architecture, or related roles.
• Experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale software platforms.
• Strong leadership skills managing engineering teams and complex initiatives.
• Expertise in software architecture, system design, APIs, integrations, and Agile delivery.
• Experience with external vendors, SDLC, release management, DevOps, and CI/CD.
• Knowledge of application security, scalability, performance, and maintainability.
• Technical competencies including microservices, REST APIs, event-driven architecture, cloud, Kubernetes, and monitoring.
• Leadership skills in strategic thinking, problem solving, vendor management, and communication.
• Preferred experience with large-scale enterprise or government platforms, cybersecurity, cloud-native platforms, and modernization initiatives.
