ServiceNow Technical Architect – Oracle Database Migration

Job Summary

This role involves leading the technical architecture and execution of Oracle database migration projects, with a focus on ServiceNow integration and database migration expertise.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of Oracle database migration projects.
• Create migration strategies including architecture, data mapping, transformation, validation, and reconciliation.
• Evaluate existing Oracle database environments, including schemas, tables, and dependencies.
• Plan and carry out migration from Oracle to RaptorDB or other target databases.
• Maintain data integrity, completeness, performance, and security during migration.
• Collaborate with ServiceNow, database, infrastructure, application, and integration teams.
• Resolve migration issues related to data compatibility and performance.
• Manage testing, validation, cutover, and post-migration support activities.
• Develop technical documentation such as migration plans, architecture diagrams, and rollback strategies.

Requirements

• 8+ years of IT experience with strong ServiceNow Technical Architect or Senior Technical Consultant background.
• Extensive ServiceNow technical architecture and integration experience.
• Proven hands-on experience in Oracle database migration projects.
• Experience leading at least one complete Oracle migration project beyond administration or support.
• Experience with database-to-database migration, preferably Oracle to RaptorDB or self-hosted databases.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle databases, SQL, schemas, data structures, and migration challenges.
• Experience in data migration processes including ETL, data transformation, validation, reconciliation, and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with APIs, integrations, middleware, and ServiceNow data/integration architecture.
• Strong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
