Senior Technical Lead – Odoo ERP (Restaurant and Tourism Solutions)

Job Summary

This full-time, on-site role in Amman, Jordan involves leading the design, customization, and deployment of Odoo ERP solutions tailored for the restaurant and tourism sectors. The Senior Technical Lead will manage technical architecture, oversee custom development and integrations, and mentor the engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, architecture, and customization of Odoo Enterprise modules.
• Develop and maintain custom Odoo modules for Restaurants/POS, Hospitality/Hotels, and Travel Agency workflows.
• Architect scalable integrations with third-party platforms such as Talabat, Careem, JoFotara e-invoicing, banking APIs, and hardware peripherals.
• Oversee code reviews, maintain code quality standards, and manage deployment pipelines using Odoo.sh and cloud infrastructure.
• Manage task allocation, technical sprints, and developer workflows as Technical Team Leader.
• Mentor junior and mid-level Odoo developers on best practices and clean code standards.
• Collaborate with functional consultants and project managers to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Provide technical troubleshooting, performance tuning, database optimization, and hands-on support for system upgrades and bug fixes.

Requirements

• 3-7 years of hands-on Odoo development experience, including 1-2 years in a Senior Lead or Acting Team Lead role.
• Expertise in Python, PostgreSQL, JavaScript (OWL framework / Odoo Web Client), XML, and QWeb.
• Experience developing RESTful / XML-RPC APIs and integrating external hardware such as printers, IoT boxes, screens, and payment terminals.
• Technical experience customizing Odoo for Restaurants/F&B (POS/KDS), Hotels/PMS, or Tour Operators/Travel Agencies is highly preferred.
• Strong experience with Odoo.sh, Docker, and Git workflows.
• Experience with Middle East localization, including Jordan JoFotara or Saudi ZATCA e-invoicing integration, is a strong plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills, structured communication, and ability to align technical engineering with business goals.
