Job Summary
The Senior Renewables Energy Engineer will lead technical efforts for Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System projects in Riyadh, managing feasibility through delivery phases.
Responsibilities
- Lead feasibility studies and design phases for Solar PV and BESS projects.
- Develop and review technical specifications, calculations, and engineering outputs.
- Conduct assessments of solar energy yield and battery storage performance.
- Manage grid connection requirements and coordinate multidisciplinary design interfaces.
- Evaluate vendor proposals and technical documentation.
- Support procurement, testing, commissioning, and project handover processes.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams.
- Engage with clients, utilities, authorities, and contractors to facilitate project delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Power, Renewable Energy, or related Engineering discipline.
- 10-12 years of experience in renewable energy projects.
- Expertise in Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
- Understanding of grid connection requirements, power systems, and electrical design.
- Experience with utility-scale renewable energy projects.
- Strong technical leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in Saudi Arabia or the Middle East is highly desirable.
