Job Summary
The Senior High Voltage Engineer will lead the technical design and delivery of high-voltage power systems for energy and infrastructure projects in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role involves overseeing substations, protection schemes, and coordination with various stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Lead design and execution of HV and EHV substations, including AIS and GIS technologies.
- Develop and review substation layouts, single-line diagrams, protection schemes, and technical specifications.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, utilities, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Conduct protection studies, select equipment, and perform design reviews.
- Support procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, and technical assurance processes.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers and designers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or related field.
- 8-12 years of experience in high-voltage power engineering.
- Expertise in AIS/GIS substations and protection design.
- Familiarity with IEC, IEEE, utility standards, and grid code requirements.
- Experience in transmission, distribution, renewable energy, or major infrastructure projects.
- Strong technical leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with projects in the Middle East or Saudi Arabia is highly desirable.
