Job Summary
This role involves leading and developing capabilities in technology resilience and cyber defense, focusing on sustaining operations during disruptions and enhancing clients’ recovery and resilience strategies.
Responsibilities
- Define and assess clients’ Minimum Viable Company (MVC) to identify essential capabilities and dependencies for operational continuity during disruptions.
- Lead Technology Impact Analyses (TIA) to map business services, applications, infrastructure, and third-party relationships and assess operational impacts of failures.
- Evaluate data centers, cloud environments, network architecture, and applications for resilience and recoverability, identifying risks and weaknesses.
- Design and recommend modern resilience solutions such as immutable backups, data vaulting, tiered recovery, cloud-native models, and chaos engineering.
- Conduct resilience risk assessments to identify exposures to cyber events, operational errors, or infrastructure failures and advise on mitigation.
- Perform resilience posture assessments using proprietary frameworks and benchmark against standards like ISO 22301, DORA, NIST, and NIS2.
- Translate resilience requirements into recovery capabilities including defining RTOs, RPOs, and testing protocols for critical services.
- Develop and implement resilience roadmaps balancing compliance, technical feasibility, and business needs, and facilitate scenario-based simulations and tabletop exercises.
Requirements
- 4-8 years of total experience.
- Strong understanding of technology resilience concepts including recovery architecture, IT continuity, backup strategies, and failover design.
- Experience conducting Technology Impact Analysis (TIA) or similar assessments of critical IT dependencies.
- Hands-on experience in running or participating in Disaster Recovery (DR) drills and proficiency in developing and maintaining runbooks.
- Ability to evaluate data centers, hybrid/cloud infrastructure, and applications from a resilience perspective.
- Capability to communicate technical risks in business impact terms to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in developing or supporting resilience strategies, roadmaps, or implementation plans for enterprise clients.
- Knowledge of regulatory expectations related to technology resilience in sectors such as financial services, energy, or government.
- Familiarity with business continuity, crisis management, or operational resilience frameworks beyond IT-specific areas.
- Experience supporting or running tabletop exercises, technical simulations, or chaos engineering experiments.
- Knowledge of cloud resilience architectures including multi-AZ/multi-region failover and backup/restore in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Understanding of cyber-resilience aspects such as ransomware preparedness, zero-trust recovery, or secure-by-design principles.
- Exposure to modern resilience solutions like immutable backups, cyber vaults, DR-as-a-Service (DRaaS), or cloud-native recovery approaches.
- Experience performing resilience posture assessments and advising improvements using frameworks like ISO 22301, DORA, NIST, or COBIT.
- Exposure to emerging technology risks including AI model resilience, edge computing, or OT/ICS environments.
- Professional certifications such as ISO 22301 Lead Auditor/Implementer, CBCI, AWS/Azure cloud certifications, or DORA/operational resilience credentials.
