Power BI Developer – Mid-Level

Job Summary

The Power BI Developer – Mid-Level role involves transforming complex data into actionable insights by developing interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI. The position requires maintaining data models, ensuring data quality, and supporting users with documentation and training.

Responsibilities

• Convert business reporting requirements into interactive dashboards, executive reports, and clearly defined KPIs.
• Develop and sustain Power BI semantic and data models, measures, and reports aligned with business definitions.
• Prepare and transform source data, reconcile key measures, and investigate data quality issues.
• Manage refresh schedules, access permissions, and publishing within a governed environment.
• Deliver report assets and documentation, and provide training to client staff on report usage.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, data analytics, or related field.
• 3 to 7 years of experience in BI, reporting, or data analytics development.
• Proficient in Power BI development including DAX, Power Query, and data/semantic modeling.
• Strong skills in querying and reconciling data using SQL, understanding joins and grain, and validating measures.
• Knowledge of row-level security, permissions, and data governance policies.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with report users and documenting KPIs beyond visual design.
