Job Opening: Solar Solutions Engineer (Technical Sales)

Job Summary

The Solar Solutions Engineer at Day & Night Company in Riyadh designs solar energy systems for farms, factories, and commercial facilities, securing client trust and managing contracts under the Sales Director.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site visits to evaluate energy requirements and determine system sizing for on-grid, off-grid, hybrid, and solar pumping solutions.
• Create designs, single-line diagrams, and calculate yield, savings, and payback periods, along with preparing bills of quantities and technical proposals.
• Present proposals to client engineers and decision-makers, managing follow-ups until contract finalization.
• Compare and source solar components such as panels, inverters, batteries, and cables based on price, quality, and specifications.
• Coordinate with installation and commissioning teams to ensure timely and specification-compliant delivery.
• Monitor market trends and competitors, represent the company at agricultural and industrial events, and report to management.

Must haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Energy Engineering or a related field.
• 4-6 years of experience in the solar market, including proposal preparation from site assessment to quotation.
• Proficiency with PVsyst or similar software and AutoCAD; ability to read electrical drawings.
• Strong knowledge of solar components, pricing, and the Saudi supplier market.
• Fluency in Arabic and English, both written and spoken.
• Excellent client communication and negotiation skills.

Nice to haves

• Experience with farms, agriculture, or solar water pumping.
• Experience with battery storage or hybrid systems.
• Existing relationships with suppliers and agents in Saudi Arabia.
• Membership in the Saudi Council of Engineers, valid driving license, and willingness to travel across regions.
