BI Consultant

Job Summary

The BI Consultant role involves developing end-to-end business intelligence solutions including data modeling, visualization, and deployment, while engaging directly with business stakeholders to translate requirements into actionable dashboards and reports.

Responsibilities

• Develop BI solutions from data modeling through visualization to deployment.
• Use expert-level skills in a major BI tool such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik.
• Write and optimize SQL queries, including stored procedures and complex joins.
• Design data models using star schema and dimensional modeling techniques.
• Build and troubleshoot ETL/ELT data pipelines supporting BI layers.
• Gather requirements from business stakeholders and convert them into dashboards and reports.
• Apply calculation languages like DAX if working with Power BI.

Must haves

• 4–6+ years of experience building BI solutions end-to-end.
• Expert-level proficiency in at least one major BI tool (Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik).
• Strong SQL skills including query optimization and stored procedures.
• Experience with data modeling (star schema, dimensional modeling).
• ETL/ELT experience in building and troubleshooting data pipelines.
• Arabic speaking is mandatory.

Nice to haves

• Experience with Microsoft Fabric or similar unified analytics platforms.
• Knowledge of Python or R for advanced analytics integration.
• Experience presenting to executive or C-level audiences.
• Domain knowledge in operations, logistics, parking, or municipal data.
• Familiarity with data governance and row-level security implementation.
• Prior consulting experience with client-facing engagements and stakeholder management.
