Job Summary

The Programme Analyst Gender Statistics supports the management and implementation of UN Women programmes in Jordan by providing technical assistance, capacity development, resource mobilization, and knowledge management related to gender statistics.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and formulation of gender statistics programme strategies and proposals.
• Provide technical inputs for annual workplans and budgets and lead programme activity implementation.
• Coordinate calls for proposals, including technical reviews and partner capacity assessments.
• Review and monitor implementing partners’ financial and narrative reports and train partners on Results Based Management.
• Offer technical assistance and capacity building to partners and maintain relationships to support programme expansion.
• Monitor programme progress and finances, draft monitoring reports, and contribute to donor and UN Women reporting.
• Manage budget implementation, provide inputs to financial reports, and supervise Programme Associates.
• Support resource mobilization strategies, prepare documentation, and participate in donor meetings and public events.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or equivalent in social sciences, economics, statistics, gender/women’s studies, international development, or related field.
• At least 2 years of progressively responsible experience in design, planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of development projects.
• Fluency in English and Arabic.
• Experience in programme design, coordination, and management of gender statistics programmes is desirable.
• Technical experience in Gender Statistics is desirable.
• Experience coordinating with government agencies and/or donors is desirable.
• Experience working in the UN System is desirable.
• Experience leading or managing a team is desirable.
• Experience in gender equality and women’s rights at the international level is desirable.
• Project/programme management certification is desirable.
