Job Summary

The Specialist – Backend Engineer at Almosafer is responsible for designing and implementing backend solutions and architectures to support the company’s travel e-commerce platforms. The role involves building scalable, distributed systems and collaborating on new and existing product development.

Responsibilities

• Design technical and integration architectures covering development, runtime, and operations.
• Develop scalable solutions using Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and microservices for business process automation and cloud services.
• Create message and event-driven architectural designs.
• Lead the implementation of complex solutions from requirements gathering to deployment.
• Provide technical design support across multiple projects and clients.
• Offer technology consulting including architectural strategy, reviews, audits, and roadmaps.
• Manage risks, issues, and dependencies related to the solution scope.
• Develop roadmaps for current and future integration technologies and introduce Agile processes to the team.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• At least 4 years of intensive Java backend development and solution architecture experience using Java, Spring Boot, API Security, Redis, RabbitMQ, Kafka, SQL and NoSQL databases, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS.
• Experience working with Java 8 or Java 11.
• Strong hands-on experience in platform delivery and architecture design.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Cloud services, AWS, DevOps tools, and CI/CD processes.
• Proven experience with Agile software development lifecycle, delivery, and release management at enterprise scale.
• Technical leadership in areas such as legacy platform migration, RESTful APIs and API gateways, microservices architecture, and AWS cloud deployment.
• Ability to influence and guide senior stakeholders on technical solutions.
• Excellent documentation, presentation, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of NodeJS is a plus.
