Job Summary

The Solution Engineer, Manager will join the border management architecture team at SITA, providing consulting and designing solution architectures to support product and customer delivery teams. The role involves hands-on support through the design, development, and delivery phases to meet business requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design and coordinate development of standard and complex solutions involving multiple internal and external parties, including third-party vendor selection.
• Support account teams during pre-contract phases with technical designs and advice.
• Own the technical qualification and parts of proposals submitted to customers, leveraging knowledge of current and emerging technologies and SITA solutions.
• Provide customers with updated information on products and solutions through meetings and workshops.
• Facilitate designs to be implemented correctly and supported operationally from the start.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share ideas and identify opportunities.
• Design solutions for large or complex programs aligned with business strategies, standards, and processes.
• Lead and coordinate subject matter experts involved in solution design and implementation.

Requirements

• 6-8 years of experience in IT, Telecom, or Air Transport technology in a technical pre-sales or lead architect role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Computer Technologies or equivalent experience.
• Ability to provide technical system solutions, design direction, and hardware recommendations for complex issues.
• Experience in designing, integrating, and managing software solutions.
• Background in systems integration industry.
• Proven ability to produce, communicate, and document successful technical customer solutions.
• Strong solutions and application architecture background with understanding of its impact on other IT disciplines.
• Understanding of information legislation such as Data Protection Act and GDPR.
• Strong written and oral communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Problem-solving, analytical, organizational skills, flexibility, adaptability, and being a team player and self-starter.

Nice to haves

• Experience in Aviation and borders industry.
• TOGAF certification.
• ITIL certification.
