Job Summary

The Senior PHP Software Engineer at Tarjama& will lead and participate in all stages of the software development lifecycle, focusing on creating scalable and efficient software solutions. The role involves collaboration with various teams, ensuring coding best practices, security, and mentoring junior developers.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable, efficient, and secure server-side microservices architectures aligned with business goals.
• Create microservice-based solutions that enhance decoupling, scalability, and maintainability using cloud-native tools.
• Develop and manage data storage and retrieval solutions using relational and non-relational databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis.
• Build, maintain, and optimize high-performance applications and ensure smooth integration between components and microservices.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services to support communication among microservices, front-end, and third-party systems.
• Regularly review, test, and optimize server-side code, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing to ensure quality and resilience.
• Implement security measures focusing on API security, user authentication, and secure microservices communication.
• Collaborate with development, product management, QA, DevOps, and design teams to deliver innovative and reliable software solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 3-5 years of software development experience focusing on PHP and microservices architecture.
• Hands-on experience with PHP frameworks such as Laravel, Slim, or CakePHP.
• Extensive experience with web services, RESTful APIs, microservices, and databases including MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software design.
• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience using Git version control and CI/CD pipelines.
