Job Summary

This role involves analyzing market trends and competitors, engaging in pre-sales activities, designing tailored cloud solutions, and supporting product and sales enablement within a vertical segment.

Responsibilities

• Produce market insight reports based on trends, market size, use cases, and pain points in a vertical segment.
• Gather and analyze competitive intelligence to develop differentiated competitive strategies.
• Lead pre-sales engagements with key customer decision-makers to identify needs and create qualified opportunities.
• Develop customer business and technology profiles by analyzing their current status and trends.
• Design customized solutions, define product selection, POC testing, bidding, and configuration strategies to close deals and grow Alibaba Cloud’s market share.
• Drive replication and incubation of public cloud solutions within the vertical segment.
• Identify and resolve technical and project risks during solution delivery, collaborating with product, engineering, and delivery teams.
• Create knowledge assets such as cloud architecture templates, best practices, and case studies; provide enablement training for sales and partners.
• Collect and consolidate product requirements and defect feedback to support product improvements and new initiatives.

Requirements

• More than 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in pre-sales, development, or operations at an internet or software company.
• Hands-on or leadership experience in medium-to-large IT projects including cloud migration, site relocation, application modernization, or digital transformation.
• Solution design experience across multiple industries such as finance, internet, retail, and government.
• Experience communicating with customers’ technical and business teams and delivering solution documents, architecture diagrams, and technical briefings.
• Ability to solve architecture or project implementation issues and perform troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with the functional architecture and scenarios of seven core AI computing and platform components.
• Capability to design and optimize large-model and intelligent-computing systems and deliver full-stack computing solutions.
• Ability to build technical trust with customers at CTO-direct-report level and influence cloud strategy favoring Alibaba Cloud.
• Knowledge of product lines and technology roadmaps of 3–5 major competitors and ability to analyze their strengths and weaknesses.
• Experience in opportunity assessment, risk anticipation, and mitigation during project execution.
• Participation in sales training explaining complex product features and competitive comparisons.
