Job Summary

This role leads and supports the development, implementation, and monitoring of enterprise-wide risk management practices for capital and major projects within the PMO, ensuring proactive risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and reporting to enhance project certainty and resilience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the deployment of risk management frameworks, methodologies, and tools for capital and major projects organization-wide.
• Facilitate workshops for risk identification and assessment involving project teams, consultants, and contractors.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive and accurate risk registers with timely updates of qualitative and quantitative data.
• Conduct qualitative and quantitative risk analyses, including Monte Carlo simulations, to assess schedule and cost impacts.
• Integrate risk data into project control and performance reporting processes.
• Monitor risk response actions and mitigation plans to ensure timely and effective implementation.
• Prepare risk reports and dashboards for governance, leadership, and audit purposes.
• Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to embed risk awareness and practices in daily project execution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field.
• Certification in Risk Management (e.g., PMI-RMP, MoR, or equivalent) preferred.
• 10–12 years of progressive risk management experience, preferably in mining, energy, or heavy industrial sectors.
• Experience with enterprise risk frameworks, operational and project risk in large-scale industrial settings.
• Experience in multinational or complex matrix organizations preferred.
• Proven ability to conduct and lead risk assessments using tools such as @Risk, Primavera Risk Analysis, or similar.
• Deep knowledge of ERM frameworks and process/engineering practices, including international Codes, Standards, and Specifications.
• Strong quantitative and qualitative risk analysis skills and practical understanding of safety and environmental fundamentals.
• Proficiency in risk management software (@Risk, Oracle Crystal Ball) and project control tools (Primavera, MS Project, MS Office).
• Excellent report writing, presentation, facilitation, and training skills.
