Job Summary
The GIS Developer will design, develop, integrate, and optimize enterprise GIS solutions, working closely with clients and stakeholders. The role includes technical leadership and supporting GIS implementations in sectors such as government, infrastructure, utilities, industrial cities, or smart-city environments.
Responsibilities
- Develop and improve enterprise GIS web applications, portals, dashboards, and executive tools.
- Create GIS solutions using ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript, ArcGIS Experience Builder, and ArcGIS Dashboards.
- Automate GIS processes and develop geoprocessing scripts using Python and ArcPy.
- Integrate GIS platforms with enterprise systems via REST APIs, web services, and databases.
- Design GIS solution architectures including application, integration, and data-flow.
- Configure, publish, secure, troubleshoot, and optimize enterprise geospatial services.
- Manage ArcGIS Enterprise components, users, roles, permissions, and configurations.
- Analyze requirements, prepare technical documentation, conduct PoCs, and coordinate with technical teams and vendors.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, GIS, Geomatics, Engineering, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in GIS development and enterprise GIS environments.
- Strong experience with ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Portal, ArcGIS Server, and Enterprise Geodatabases.
- Proficiency in ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript, ArcGIS REST API, Python/ArcPy, and SQL with Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.
- Experience in GIS integration with REST APIs, web services, and enterprise applications.
- Experience working with government, utilities, infrastructure, industrial cities, or smart-city projects.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience coordinating GIS implementation vendors and multidisciplinary teams is preferred.
- Knowledge of enterprise authentication, security concepts, and GIS service performance optimization.
- Relevant certifications such as GISP, Esri/ArcGIS, or cloud/database/enterprise architecture certifications.
