مدير هندسة – ERP (Engineering Manager – ERP)

Job Summary

This role involves hands-on software engineering to develop a core ERP platform for Foodics, with a future focus on building and leading the engineering team responsible for the product.

Responsibilities

• Write production code as a primary contributor alongside other engineers.
• Take ownership of major system components including core modules, transactional foundations, compliance, and integrations.
• Make key architectural decisions critical to the platform’s long-term success.
• Set engineering standards through code reviews, testing practices, and AI tool usage guidelines.
• Collaborate with product managers and domain experts to translate business needs into system features.
• Lead hiring efforts by defining roles, managing recruitment processes, and making final decisions.
• Mentor existing engineers to enable independent management of system parts.
• Implement processes as needed and oversee the product’s transition into the core business with the team intact.

Requirements

• 7+ years of engineering experience including leadership roles such as engineering manager, tech lead, or founding engineer.
• Currently coding regularly in the present role.
• Experience building ERP or accounting systems with understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and period close.
• Strong full stack development skills from database schema to user interface.
• Regular use of AI tools and good judgment on their reliability.
• Experience building products from scratch in small teams with ambiguous requirements and rapid cycles.
• Interest in both hands-on development and team building.
• Ability to work substantially within GMT+3 time zone.

Nice to haves

• Experience building or operating ledger, double-entry engines, or transaction processing systems at scale.
• Background in fintech, banking, payments, or financial services.
• Experience hiring and growing an engineering team from the initial members.
• Familiarity with ERP platforms such as ERPNext, Odoo, NetSuite, or SAP.
• Experience with ZATCA e-invoicing or similar regional regulatory requirements.
