Job Summary

The Counterparty Risk Analyst evaluates credit risk for various counterparties in trade and capital markets within assigned markets, aiming to mitigate risks and support financial security. This role operates with limited supervision and provides insights into business risks related to counterparties and products.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial statements of counterparties, assign ratings, and evaluate their financial conditions and repayment ability.
• Conduct stress tests, market research, and monitor counterparties and markets for potential negative impacts.
• Collaborate to understand trade and capital market structures and contribute to risk-related inputs and mitigation recommendations.
• Maintain communication with transaction management to ensure risk mitigation measures and accurate exposure reporting within limits.
• Manage customer accounts by tracking status, following up on overdue payments, resolving discrepancies, and supporting collections.
• Prepare reports adhering to strong reporting standards and assist in projects aimed at process and methodology improvements.
• Support communication with external counterparties to foster positive relationships and ensure clear business dealings.
• Work with origination, structuring, legal, and senior teams to ensure thorough due diligence and respond to internal queries.

Must haves

• Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience, typically 3 years or more.
• Fluent in English, both written and oral.
• Fluent in Arabic, both written and oral.

Nice to haves

• Experience in finance operations, especially order/credit to cash processes.
• Proven experience in financial analysis.
• Experience in portfolio analysis and risk mitigation solutions.
• Good understanding of incoterms and various payment methods.
• Excellent Excel skills and experience with SAP ERP.
• Ability to manage time and priorities in a complex environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build collaborative relationships.
