Job Summary

The Senior System Engineer at IRIS Technology in Amman is responsible for designing, implementing, integrating, and supporting enterprise IT infrastructure, Microsoft technologies, cloud platforms, data protection, and AI solutions. The role demands strong technical skills and advanced troubleshooting across diverse customer environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, configure, and maintain enterprise IT infrastructure including physical servers, storage, and virtualization.
• Install, configure, administer, and troubleshoot Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and related services.
• Implement and support virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V; Nutanix AHV knowledge is a plus.
• Deploy and manage Microsoft 365, Office 365, Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, and Mobile Device Management solutions.
• Support Microsoft Copilot deployment and integration within enterprise environments.
• Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure using Microsoft Azure and AWS, including migrations and hybrid setups.
• Implement and support backup, replication, recovery, business continuity, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Integrate enterprise AI solutions using platforms like OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, and Microsoft Copilot.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• 4–5 years of hands-on experience in systems engineering or enterprise IT environments.
• Experience with Microsoft infrastructure technologies including Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Intune, and MDM.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot and modern workplace solutions.
• Experience with VMware vSphere and/or Microsoft Hyper-V; Nutanix AHV knowledge is advantageous.
• Experience administering Linux environments, physical servers, storage systems, and enterprise infrastructure.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure and AWS cloud platforms.
• Experience with backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and endpoint protection solutions.
• Familiarity with AI platforms such as OpenAI and Anthropic Claude and enterprise AI integration.

Nice to haves

• Microsoft certifications in Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra, Intune, or Azure.
• Backup and Disaster Recovery certifications such as Veeam VMCE.
• Cloud certifications in Microsoft Azure or AWS.
• Other certifications in infrastructure, Linux, storage, virtualization, cybersecurity, or AI.
