Job Summary

The Mechanical Engineer – Design will create and optimize mechanical components and systems, collaborating with teams to ensure designs meet standards and manufacturing requirements in Riyadh.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed mechanical designs and technical drawings using CAD software with precision and compliance to specifications.
• Perform design analyses and simulations to assess mechanical component performance and durability.
• Interpret design requirements into effective and functional mechanical solutions.
• Work with manufacturing, quality, and product teams to confirm design feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
• Select and analyze materials to enhance component performance and manufacturing efficiency.
• Document design changes and maintain organized project and design records.
• Validate designs against industry standards, codes, and regulations.
• Participate in design reviews and offer technical suggestions for improvements.

Must haves

• At least 10 years of experience in mechanical design or product development.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, or equivalents.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, engineering fundamentals, and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to produce detailed technical drawings and design documentation.
• Analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience in material selection and knowledge of material properties.
• Familiarity with industry standards and quality requirements like ISO and ASME.
• Organizational skills to manage multiple design projects simultaneously.
• Effective communication skills and teamwork ability.

Nice to haves

• Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and design simulation software.
• Background in design optimization and performance analysis.
• Experience in automotive, aerospace, industrial equipment, or related sectors.
• Knowledge of product lifecycle management (PLM) systems and advanced 3D modeling techniques.
