Job Summary

The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will handle mechanical design reviews, technical coordination, and multidisciplinary engineering support for large-scale CCGT Power Plants and Solar PV Projects in Amman, Jordan. This role focuses on design and technical tasks rather than site execution.

Responsibilities

• Review and coordinate mechanical engineering designs and deliverables.
• Examine equipment datasheets, technical specifications, and engineering calculations.
• Support technical evaluations of bids and vendor document reviews.
• Collaborate with Civil, Electrical, Instrumentation, and Process Engineering teams.
• Review piping systems, mechanical layouts, and equipment interfaces.
• Ensure adherence to project specifications, EPC requirements, and international standards.
• Participate in design reviews, technical workshops, and engineering coordination meetings.
• Provide technical support during procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
• Identify engineering risks and propose practical technical solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Senior Level: 8-12+ years of experience
• Lead Level: 12+ years of experience
• Experience with CCGT Power Plants
• Experience with Utility-Scale Solar PV Projects
• Experience in EPC Projects
• Experience in Industrial or Energy Projects
• Strong technical knowledge of Gas Turbines, HRSG Systems, Balance of Plant (BOP), Cooling Water Systems, HVAC Systems, Fire Fighting Systems, Water Treatment Systems, Pumps & Rotating Equipment, and Piping Systems
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit MEP
• Familiarity with Navisworks
