Job Summary

This role involves designing and managing urban water supply and wastewater systems, conducting feasibility studies, assessing environmental impacts, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure sustainable urban infrastructure planning.

Responsibilities

• Design and oversee water distribution, sewage collection, treatment, and stormwater management systems in urban areas.
• Analyze current conditions and demands to develop engineering solutions that enhance functionality and sustainability.
• Conduct feasibility studies evaluating environmental, economic, technical, and regulatory factors for urban development projects.
• Assess environmental impacts including pollution, habitat disruption, and energy use, and recommend strategies to minimize negative effects.
• Plan the layout of wet infrastructure considering population density, land use, transportation, and coordination with other utilities.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, building codes, and standards by reviewing project designs and obtaining necessary permits.
• Collaborate with urban planners, architects, developers, government agencies, and communities to develop integrated solutions.
• Use data analysis and modeling to predict infrastructure performance and inform planning decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or urban planning from an accredited university.
• At least 10 years of experience in a related field.
• Experience in master planning for water and wastewater services.
• Ability to collect master plan data and produce related reports.
• Ability to develop KPIs for strategic planning and monitor regional cluster performance.
• Experience preparing high-quality performance reports.
• Fluent communication skills in Arabic and English.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
