Job Summary

The Senior Audio-Visual Systems Engineer will join WSP’s Amman team to design and deliver AV and related ELV technology solutions across various building projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to the design and implementation of Audio Visual and ELV technology solutions for diverse building projects.
• Prepare and coordinate design deliverables such as specifications, drawings, calculations, schedules, and technical reports, ensuring compliance with project requirements and quality standards.
• Engage with clients to understand AV technology needs and assist in developing technical recommendations, conceptual solutions, project estimates, and workshop materials.
• Apply knowledge of project delivery principles including scope, schedule, cost, and quality.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, suppliers, technology vendors, and stakeholders.
• Manage assigned tasks and support the development and mentoring of graduate and junior engineers.
• Coordinate with BIM engineers and technicians to facilitate digital delivery of AV systems.
• Demonstrate understanding of ELV systems design, AV systems design (presentation, collaboration, conferencing, background music, public address, control systems), and AV calculations and simulations (display sizing, sightlines, loudspeaker coverage, speech intelligibility, acoustic coordination).

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science (Electrical, Electronics, IT, Telecommunications, or equivalent).
• 7–12 years of post-graduate experience in AV systems design with exposure to ELV systems design and coordination.
• Industry-recognized Audio Visual certifications such as CTS, CTS-D, CTS-I, or equivalent are desirable.
• Experience in design and coordination of AV systems across project stages including concept, schematic, detailed design, tender, and construction support.
• Hands-on experience with AV design and simulation software such as EASE, Vectorworks, and related digital design tools.
• Ability to utilize expertise to enhance project delivery and embrace diversity.
• Proactive approach to continuous improvement and personal development.
• Ownership of responsibilities with consistent quality delivery.
• Ability to prepare and deliver technical presentations, reports, and client-facing materials.
• Conduct peer reviews to ensure compliance with project requirements, standards, and QA/QC procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Open to new ideas and ways of working.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
