Job Summary

The Head of Internal Technology and AI at Ektis leads the internal technology and AI functions to support the firm’s growth in the GCC. The role ensures internal systems, tools, data, and technical support enable operational efficiency and reliable services.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a prioritized AI delivery plan addressing business problems with clear ownership and budgets.
• Manage a company-wide library of reusable AI skills, including documentation, ownership, versioning, and updates.
• Train employees on approved AI tools and measure adoption and performance improvements.
• Design, build, test, and maintain AI agents integrated with internal systems, ensuring compliance and human oversight.
• Establish and maintain AI governance aligned with ISO/IEC 42001, including risk assessments and controls.
• Lead the full software development lifecycle, setting standards for quality, testing, and deployment.
• Oversee internal IT operations, including employee support, cloud infrastructure, business applications, and incident management.
• Manage device and asset lifecycle, including Microsoft Intune and mobile device management, ensuring security and compliance.
• Define and enforce security governance, including identity management, access controls, and audit support aligned with ISO/IEC 27001.
• Control technology budgets and expenditures, optimizing costs while maintaining service and security standards.
• Build and lead the internal IT team, managing responsibilities, recruitment, training, and supplier performance.

Must haves

• Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science.
• 10 to 14 years of technology experience including software development, system support, and technical leadership.
• Experience managing software development from requirements to maintenance and reviewing production code.
• Experience building AI agents, maintaining AI skills libraries, and using test datasets and scorecards.
• Experience leading IT support and asset management with knowledge of Microsoft Intune and endpoint security.
• Experience managing cloud capacity, licenses, budgets, and supplier contracts with demonstrated cost reductions.
• Ability to define AI approval controls, assess risks, and review security incidents and remediation.
• Experience in Saudi Arabia or GCC applying data protection, residency, and cloud requirements.
• Fluent English with ability to explain technical decisions, costs, and risks clearly.

Nice to haves

• Experience supporting internal technology in professional services or consulting firms across GCC markets.
• Experience implementing ISO/IEC 27001 or ISO/IEC 42001 controls, audit evidence, and closing findings.
• Experience supporting finance, ERP, and HR systems including access controls and secure integrations.
• Experience automating employee onboarding, role changes, and offboarding with HR processes and device management.
