Job Summary

The Senior Software Developer at MedNet Jordan Co. W.L.L is responsible for leading the design, development, and maintenance of scalable enterprise applications using PHP and ASP.NET within a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performance enterprise applications.
• Define system architecture, technical standards, and best practices.
• Translate business and functional requirements into technical solutions.
• Provide mentorship to junior and mid-level developers.
• Develop and optimize backend services using PHP 8+ and Laravel, including RESTful APIs.
• Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms such as JWT, OAuth2, and Laravel Passport/Sanctum.
• Develop front-end components using Angular or similar frameworks and integrate with internal and third-party systems.
• Design and maintain efficient database schemas and optimize MySQL performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 6–10+ years of full stack development experience with strong focus on PHP and Laravel.
• Experience delivering and maintaining enterprise-scale applications.
• Proficiency in Laravel features including Eloquent, Queues, Events, and Service Container.
• Strong knowledge of PHP 7/8, MySQL, and SQL performance optimization.
• Experience with Angular or other modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Understanding of API design, security, and integration best practices.
• Familiarity with Java backend technologies like Spring Boot is a plus.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines (preferably GitLab CI), and automated deployments.
• Working knowledge of Linux environments and web servers such as Nginx and Apache.
• Experience with caching, message queues, distributed system patterns, and Docker container environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Support backend for mobile applications including authentication and performance tuning.
