Job Summary

The Broadcasting Engineer will be responsible for operating and maintaining broadcast systems to ensure continuous and reliable broadcast operations. This role involves technical support, troubleshooting, and overseeing live broadcast technical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain broadcast, studio, playout, ingest, automation, transmission, and archiving systems.
• Provide advanced technical support and resolve complex hardware, software, audio, video, network, and broadcast system issues.
• Support and manage technical needs for live broadcasts and Outside Broadcast (OB) productions.
• Perform system testing and preventive maintenance to reduce technical disruptions during broadcasts.
• Monitor critical broadcast systems to identify and address potential problems proactively.
• Lead troubleshooting, system upgrades, implementations, and improvements.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers for maintenance, support, and system enhancements.
• Offer technical guidance and support to junior engineers and team members.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Broadcasting Engineering, Broadcast Technology, or related fields.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related disciplines.
• Strong practical experience with broadcast and studio systems.
• Solid knowledge of broadcast automation, playout, ingest, transmission, and archiving.
• Advanced troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong understanding of audio/video workflows and broadcast infrastructure.
• Ability to work independently, make technical decisions, and lead during critical incidents.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Capability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines, especially during live broadcasts.
