Job Summary
The Field CTO leads end-to-end AI presales and solutioning, embedding in pursuits to validate technical feasibility, design and build proof-of-concept solutions, and own the technical handover to delivery teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end AI presales and solutioning across pursuits
- Embed in live pursuits to validate technical feasibility before scope is finalized
- Own complete design of PoC/PoV including architecture, data, and integration approach
- Build and ship PoC/PoV solo or with a small team within the sales cycle timeline
- Assess technical architecture and compliance risk including security, data residency, and integration complexity
- Coordinate with SPOKE specialists (Solution Architect, Data Scientist, MLOps Engineer) when deeper technical proof is needed
- Serve as senior technical voice in client-facing presentations and technical defense sessions
- Own structured technical handover to Delivery including blueprint, risk log, and technical narrative
Requirements
- 15–20 years of hands-on engineering and architecture experience with real production shipping experience, not just PoCs
- Full-stack capability across data, model, integration, and agentic stack
- Deep familiarity with Microsoft Azure AI Foundry, AWS Bedrock (including Strands Agents), and Google Vertex AI
- Strong knowledge of open-source frameworks including LangChain and LangGraph
- Strong grasp of technical compliance considerations for enterprise AI including security architecture, data residency, and integration risk
- Deep understanding of delivery and implementation methodology for moving PoC to production rollout
- Ability to defend design decisions under technical challenge from client engineers or architects
- Comfortable being customer-facing under sales-cycle time pressure
- Executive and technical presentation skills with ability to lead client demonstrations personally
- Coaching presence for junior technical staff on live pursuits
