Job Summary

The Senior Resident Engineer – MEP serves as the lead on-site representative overseeing all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing works. This role ensures project delivery aligns with specifications, quality, contractual obligations, and Saudi regulations, while managing contractors and coordinating multidisciplinary activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all on-site MEP construction activities from mobilization to handover.
• Ensure MEP installations adhere to approved designs, specifications, and applicable standards.
• Monitor progress and address technical, commercial, and execution challenges proactively.
• Review contractor methodologies, material submissions, shop drawings, and commissioning plans.
• Coordinate MEP systems with other disciplines such as civil, structural, and architectural works.
• Provide technical guidance on HVAC, electrical power, ELV, plumbing, fire protection, and utilities.
• Oversee quality assurance through inspections, audits, and compliance verification.
• Manage testing, commissioning, and handover processes for all MEP systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services Engineering, or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE), CEng, or equivalent registration.
• Minimum 20 years of experience in MEP design, construction supervision, and project delivery.
• At least 5 years in a Senior MEP supervisory or Resident Engineer role on major projects in KSA.
• Experience with large-scale developments including commercial, mixed-use, social, educational, high-rise, and infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical power distribution, substations, ELV, fire protection, plumbing, BMS, and commissioning.
• Familiarity with Saudi Building Code, SEC, Civil Defense regulations, and international standards such as ASHRAE, NFPA, IEC, IEEE, SMACNA, and British Standards.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit/BIM, Navisworks, Primavera P6, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience working in Saudi Arabia or the GCC and within PMC/Engineering Consultancy environments.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
